Verasity Launches $PLRL on Base to Establish a New Internet Equity Layer

The current trend of treating creator content and digital data as raw material for centralized platforms across the Internet has revealed a growing need to develop an equitable system to distribute value. Verasity describes Base as the “go-to L-2 for everything that’s consumer-facing” because it can achieve near-instant settlement, great throughput, and cheap cost. There is little friction for onboarding a consumer onto a blockchain.

In 2025, Base controls more than 60% of entire L-2 revenues, with a DeFi TVL over over $4.6B. Base’s direct integration with Coinbase gives it an inherent distribution advantage for $PLRL given access to millions of verified Coinbase users.
