Stand With Crypto, launched by Coinbase in 2023, influences elections by mobilizing voters rather than through massive campaign spending, and currently claims to have over 3 million registered "advocates." In 2024, the crypto industry spent $170 million supporting congressional candidates, most of whom won, and pushed Congress to pass the GENIUS Act, which regulates stablecoins. During this year's midterm election cycle, the crypto industry has already spent nearly $200 million through channels such as the Fairshake Super PAC to further solidify its influence in Congress.
