According to Onchain Lens monitoring, a Hyperliquid whale holds nearly $58 million in positions, with 93.2% being net short. Its largest positions include $13.31 million in short positions on XYZ100, $11.32 million on short positions on USOIL, $10.03 million on short positions on UKOIL, $3.77 million on short positions on SP500, and $3.68 million on short positions on NGAS. Just hours earlier, this whale also opened a $3.43 million long position on SKHX, with a historical profit of $4.77 million.

HIP-3 is Hyperliquid's permissionless framework for developers to deploy perpetual contracts, and its trading volume has risen from approximately 2% of Hyperliquid's total perpetual contract trading volume at the beginning of the year to nearly 50% currently. This growth coincides with the increasing interest of retail investors in on-chain stock trading. Currently, the HIP-3 market is primarily dominated by TradeXYZ, which has launched markets including XYZ100 (tracking the Nasdaq 100 index) and single-stock contracts related to companies such as Nvidia and Tesla.

The version is expected to launch publicly in September.
