Bernstein maintains its "Outperform" rating on Circle with a price target of $140.
According to BlockBeats, on August 6, Bernstein reiterated its "outperform" rating on Circle with a target price of $140, believing that its second-quarter earnings data refuted market concerns about competition and declining reserve income.
Analysts suggest the market may be underestimating Circle's distribution capabilities, regulatory standing, and the additional revenue streams generated by its Layer 1 network, Arc.
Step App has announced its closure and will cease service on August 21.
Odaily Planet Daily reports that Step App has announced its official shutdown after four years of operation. All services will cease operation on August 21st, and users are required to unstake all locked tokens and manage their exchange holdings before this date. Step App stated that the platform has accumulated over 1 million downloads, tracked billions of steps, and driven the development of the Move-to-Earn (M2E) track, connecting Web2 and Web3.
Only unprotected wallets were stolen; Coldcard Mk3 honeypot testing shows attackers still prioritize targeting the most vulnerable wallets.
Odaily Planet Daily reports that Bitcoin News, in an article published on the X platform, stated that new community honeypot tests show attackers are still prioritizing wallets most vulnerable to exploitation in the Coldcard Mk3 RNG vulnerability. Researcher @ColeTU injected funds into five affected Mk3 wallets: one using only the vulnerable mnemonic phrase, three protected by BIP39 passphrases of 1, 2, and 3 words respectively, and one using a random account number. After 14 hours, only the unprotected wallet using only the mnemonic phrase had its funds transferred. According to @jamesob's real-time Tripwire dashboard, only 2 out of 17 honeypot wallets have been emptied. The emptied wallets have not been given additional entropy, and all wallets protected by dice rolls, passphrases, multisignatures, or other complexities remain untouched. The test results indicate that attackers are currently focusing on the wallets most vulnerable to brute-force attacks rather than investing resources in hardening targets. However, affected users should still migrate their funds immediately instead of relying on temporary protection.
Following the release of AMD's quarterly report, analysts had mixed reactions, with Mizuho lowering its target price.
According to BlockBeats, on August 6, institutional analysts generally maintained a constructive view after AMD released its quarterly results. Although high expectations led to a mixed market reaction, the consensus among analysts was that AMD's AI and data center growth narrative remains intact.
Wells Fargo gave the most optimistic update, raising its price target from $615 to $700 and believing earnings could significantly exceed its previous estimate of $20 per share for 2029-2030. Jefferies raised its price target to $650 and maintained its buy rating, stating that despite earnings falling short of expectations, its long-term AI argument is progressing as planned.
Mizuho lowered its price target to $580 from $625, but maintained its outperform rating, citing solid performance in a challenging environment for the quarter. JPMorgan significantly raised its price target to $550 from $385, while maintaining a neutral rating, citing slightly below-expected guidance for the September quarter.
Overall, analysts believe that AMD's expanding AI GPU and server business has huge upside potential, with the main debate focusing on whether short-term execution can keep up with increasingly aggressive expectations.
The gold market rebounded, and Gate XAU contract trading and open interest remained among the top two in the industry.
