According to the Q2 financial report of Sequans Communications, a French-listed IoT chip company, the company sold 344 bitcoins in Q2, reducing its holdings from approximately 658 bitcoins to 314 bitcoins. The company will continue to gradually sell its remaining bitcoins as previously planned, exiting its Bitcoin treasury strategy. The company stated that the sale of bitcoins was primarily used to repay convertible bonds and increase cash reserves, and that it completed the redemption of all convertible bonds in May. Financial data shows that Q2 revenue was $7.5 million, with a net loss of $9.8 million, while also recording a $3 million bitcoin impairment loss and a $5.3 million net gain from the sale of bitcoins.

Odaily Planet Daily reports that BlackRock has launched tokenized share classes for its European money market funds, encompassing six funds under the BlackRock Institutional Cash Series, holding a total of $311 billion in assets. This marks BlackRock's first foray into offering on-chain fund access in Europe, covering allocative and accumulative shares for Euro, British Pound, and US Dollar strategies. The tokens are minted on Ethereum through JPMorgan's blockchain division, Kinexys, which handles minting and burning, and connects on-chain activity with the traditional shareholder registration system. Each token represents a share of the underlying fund, and the official shareholder register remains maintained by the fund transfer agent. Smart contracts allow for the transfer of holdings between approved investor wallets. These shares are offered to professional and accredited clients, not retail investors. BlackRock also launched tokenized money market funds for stablecoin reserve management on Solana, Ethereum, and Stripe's Tempo platform this Monday.
