According to BlockBeats, on July 29, Patrick Hansen (@paddi_hansen), Senior Director of EU Strategy and Policy at Circle, pointed out that since the implementation of the EU's Crypto Asset Market Regulation (MiCA), approximately 35 electronic money tokens (EMTs) from 21 institutions have obtained compliance certification, with banks and electronic money institutions entering the market and the local issuance momentum being strong.

However, among the world's top 50 stablecoins, only USDC, USDG, and EURC currently meet MiCA requirements, while the rest are outside the regulatory framework. EU users face the dual dilemma of lack of protection or being forced to cut off access.

Hansen believes that for MiCA to truly become a global regulatory blueprint, it must simultaneously achieve two goals: first, to promote local EMTs to go global with a competitive system; and second, to establish a recognition mechanism for compliant stablecoins overseas, attracting global issuers to be included in the MiCA regulatory framework, rather than making local issuance the only entry path.

According to BlockBeats, on July 29th, K33 Research reported that Bitcoin has been consolidating in a narrow range between $60,000 and $66,000 over the past week. The average daily spot trading volume in July was only about $2.2 billion, CME open interest was near multi-year lows, and perpetual open interest stagnated at around 300,000 Bitcoins. Bitcoin trading volume in July hit its lowest level since November 2023.
