Odaily Planet Daily reports that the privacy-focused public blockchain Zano activated its sixth hard fork (HF6) at block height 3,833,000 on August 31st. The upgrade is now live on the mainnet, marking the largest upgrade in the network's seven-year history. HF6 introduces Gateway Addresses, providing centralized exchanges, DEXs, and cross-chain bridges with a single, directly traceable balance and instant synchronization, while retaining existing addresses and their privacy model. Native ZANO can now be crossed without custody to Ethereum, Solana, and TON, publicly accessible on external networks, and privacy protection is restored upon crossing back to Zano. The upgrade also tightens consensus verification rules and strengthens wallet encryption, mining pool fault tolerance, payment IDs, anti-DoS restrictions, SOCKS5 proxying, and RPC interfaces. HF6 is a prerequisite for the developing EVM-compatible chain Zano Execution Layer, which has no fixed launch date yet; the next-generation consensus protocol Zenith is included in the 2027 roadmap. According to data from the CME FedWatch tool, as of 11:40 AM ET on August 31, there was a 66% probability that the Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) would raise the target range for the federal funds rate by 25 basis points to 3.75% to 4.00% at its September meeting. The Fed is expected to begin raising interest rates in 2022 to combat rising inflation.
