This funding round brings CAEX's capital to approximately $380 million, meeting the entry threshold for the Vietnamese government's pilot program. Launched under Resolution 05/2025, this program aims to provide compliance licenses for local crypto exchanges and encourage trading activity to return to Vietnam. OKX and HashKey will reportedly provide CAEX with infrastructure, security, compliance, and liquidity support. Vietnam has previously passed the Digital Technology Industry Law, formally recognizing crypto assets and establishing a regulatory framework, while strengthening anti-money laundering requirements to promote industry compliance.
