The MPs warn that the Bank of England's draft framework restricts the use of stablecoins in the wholesale market, prohibits interest-bearing on reserves, and sets a £20,000 holding cap, potentially weakening the City of London's attractiveness as a global financial center and forcing investors to turn to alternative currencies pegged to the US dollar. The letter calls for a forward-looking stablecoin framework to secure international investment, support the growth of high-value fintech, and solidify the UK's position as a global innovation hub.

According to data monitored by Arkham, approximately 18 hours ago, an address suspected to be from the TANSSI application blockchain infrastructure protocol team minted a total of 45 million tokens (worth nearly $700,000) through multiple transactions. This comes only about three weeks after the team last minted and issued 23 million TANSSI tokens, and then sent a portion of the tokens to exchanges.

Currently, this service will focus on two main areas: cryptocurrencies and economic events. Furthermore, BitnomialClearinghouse, the exchange's clearing function, can provide a wider range of clearing services to partner prediction markets, thereby gaining collateral liquidity between USD and cryptocurrencies.

Huoxun Finance reported on December 13th that, according to CNBC citing sources familiar with the matter, Coinbase is preparing to launch an internal prediction market powered by Kalshi, with an announcement possible as early as next week. While not an exclusive partnership, Kalshi will be Coinbase's only operator partnered with a prediction market once the product launches. Previously, it was reported that Kalshi had joined forces with Coinbase, Robinhood, and others to form a prediction market alliance.

Odaily Planet Daily reports that Coinbase announced it plans to suspend order book trading for the following trading pairs on December 15, 2025 at 12:00 PM Eastern Time (1:00 AM Beijing Time on December 16): ANKR-GBP, AXS-EUR, AXS-USDT, CGLD-EUR, CGLD-GBP, LRC-USDT, and LRC-BTC. This suspension aims to further improve overall market health and consolidate liquidity. Eligible Coinbase Advanced users can still trade the relevant tokens in the USD order book. Currently, the above trading pairs have switched to limit order mode, and market orders will no longer be able to be submitted.
