According to Bijie.com, OpenClaw has announced the official launch of its non-profit foundation, the OpenClaw Foundation. OpenClaw is a personal AI assistant that runs on a user's own device, integrating with email, calendars, chat tools, and local applications to complete tasks directly for the user. The foundation will be responsible for OpenClaw's governance, funding, community building, and long-term maintenance, ensuring the project remains open-source and independent. Initial partners include OpenAI, NVIDIA, Microsoft, the University of Michigan, GitHub, Cloudflare, and Vercel, with Chinese company Tencent also on the list, primarily involved in security, deployment, and infrastructure support.

According to CoinWorld, Noam Brown, a senior researcher at OpenAI, stated that in most AI research tasks today, he would choose GPT-5.6 rather than a human research intern. Brown made this statement during ICML 2026 in response to the question of whether AI has reached the level of an AI research intern.
