He stated on the social media platform X, "Today is my last day at xAI," and jokingly remarked that "no one on the team can stay up all night better than you guys," adding that he plans to "get more than eight hours of sleep first." This is the fourth xAI co-founder to publicly resign in the past three months. Since the company's founding in 2023, seven of the 12 founding members have confirmed their departure, including former Google scientist Tony Wu, University of Toronto professor Jimmy Ba, and Groq founding member Greg Yang.
