博链财经获悉，10月6日，据The Block，萨尔瓦多可再生能源和 挖矿 公司Volcano Energy和 比特币 挖矿软件提供商Luxor Technology共同推出Lava Pool，旨在利用萨尔瓦多的地热能来开采比特币。
其中Volcano Energy将把净利润的23%捐给萨尔瓦多政府，作为公私合作计划的一部分，萨尔瓦多政府计划将挖矿利润重新投资到其能源基础设施中，以帮助促进经济增长。
