Coinfest Asia's 2026 Edition Adds Institutional Track for Stablecoins and Tokenization

Coinfest Asia , organized by Indonesia Crypto Network (ICN), returns to Melasti Beach in Bali on August 20-21, and for the first time splits its programming into three separate tracks aimed at institutions, builders, and traders rather than running attendees through a shared agenda.

The Institutional Track is the clearest departure from prior editions. It covers digital asset adoption, stablecoin integration, and tokenization, and includes Asia Go-To-Market briefings alongside closed-door stablecoin and tokenization roundtables under an "Institutional Summit" backed by a newly formed consortium: ICEX (Indonesia Crypto Exchange), Crypto Asset Clearing International, and International Crypto Custodian. The Builders Track covers developer and AI programming, including a Gemini AI masterclass, and the Traders Track centers on MEXC Ventures' Alpha Arena trading competition and other market-focused sessions.

The restructuring comes after a period of rapid growth for the event. Coinfest Asia's 2025 edition drew 11,184 attendees from more than 90 countries with over 150 speakers and 77 sponsors, up from a first edition in 2022 that has since compounded into more than 15,000 cumulative attendees and 400-plus speakers across five editions, according to organizer ICN. Splitting institutional programming out of that general pool suggests the festival is treating its regulator- and enterprise-facing audience as large enough now to warrant separate infrastructure, rather than folding it into the broader trading and builder crowd.

The 2026 speaker list reflects that institutional push. Charles Hoskinson, founder of Input Output Group and the Cardano network, headlines alongside Felix Fan, CEO of Trust Wallet, and Alexander Svanevik, CEO of on-chain analytics firm Nansen. On the institutional side specifically, Angela Ang, APAC Managing Director and Singapore President at BitGo, and Tianwei Liu, CEO of Singapore dollar stablecoin issuer StraitsX, are both confirmed for the Institutional Track — a pairing that puts a major custody provider and a regional stablecoin issuer on the same stage as the event's regulatory and tokenization sessions. Google's Iñaki Moreno, who leads Web3 and AI strategic partnerships, is also confirmed, reflecting the festival's parallel push into AI-adjacent programming through the Builders Track.

ICN says four Asia Go-To-Market sessions — covering Japan, Malaysia, Indonesia, and India — will run in partnership with regional events including WebX and India Blockchain Week, extending the festival's reach into jurisdiction-specific regulatory and distribution detail that a single shared program hadn't previously offered.
